Babe Mueller- Our Matriarch Passes On
Texas Blue Bonnets From Babe's Yard

This was taken from Hira Reid's blog: http://reikireid.blogspot.com/

Our wonderful family member, Babe, excarnated on Sunday morning, 11 April 2010. She passed during the early hours of the morning, while sleeping. She was loved and will missed by many. The matriarchal torch is now passed to her daughter, Georgia Ann. Again, Reiki helped Babe in many ways, but the most significant is always in the pain management realms. She was never in any pain, only discomfort when being moved or turned. Dying without pain is the hallmark of compassionate care and Reiki is the beacon of light which comes from the universe to soothe our suffering in our final days. How fortunate we are to have Reiki in our lives and how blessed each act of kindness becomes when we minister to the sick and dying.

Patty Anderson shares about doing Reiki on her chemo medication and cutting her hair.

Jean shares that Patty had come to San Diego for a Reiki treatment following her first chemo session. She had commented that it was traumatic seeing her hair start falling out. She had not done reiki on the 1st chemo medication. I reminded her that would ease the effects and to start treating the next session of chemo. I also spoke of how empowering it is when you make a choice around shaving your head and to create ceremony.

Patty shares her beautiful experience:

I had my 2nd chemo treatment today. I asked to be given some time with the 2 IV drip bags that contained my chemo drugs so that I might Reiki them. The oncology nurse asked me why because Reiki is something for people. I told her no, that Reiki is for everything. She wanted to say something else but, agreed to let me have them to Reiki before they were placed in my body. When I first held them, they felt cold and lifeless. As Reiki began to fill them, I could literally feel a free flowing (not of fluids) but of energy contained in the fluid(s). I am home resting now and sending Reiki to my cramping tummy.
My hair loss seemed to have hit a speed warp over the weekend and I followed suit with Phyllis Furumoto. I called my hair girl (a good friend) and had it shaved off yesterday. It was traumatic at first but when I saw myself in the mirror with a half-shaven head, I paused a moment from my tears and then burst out into laughter; it was one of the funniest things I had ever seen! So much so, that I had my friend capture it on camera as well as the mohawk we managed before the final product: BALD. What a fun and liberating experience!!

Thank you Patty for sharing a part of your healing steps and experiencing the support of Reiki.
