Angel Passes to a New Realm
Word has come to me this morning that Isidra's 26 year old son, Angel has been freed of his human bondage. Over Christmas he received blessings from Father Denny and it was on this day that I met Angel. Isidra had pulled him to a standing position so that he could receive the blessing. His severe spasticity allowed this to take place, while the spasticity was markedly the worst I have seen. His legs were severely scissored in a crossed fashion, yet with the love and pride of a mother Isidra made certain that he would stand for this event.
In January, I helped Isidra bathe, dress, stretch out his limbs and give him a Reiki treatment. I watched her treat her son with kindess, gentleness and provide him with lots of love. She spoke to him with a soft, gentle voice, explaining to him what we were doing, encouraging him and sometimes teasing him. On some level, he seemed to understand, while he did not have any speech, he occationally smiled. His lungs were quite congested at the time and apparently they had gotten worse. Pulmonary complications seems to be the number one cause of deaths with the children.
"Remarkable", resounds, when I think of this mother and child. Isidra kept this child alive for 26 years under extreme and sub standard living conditions. It has only been a few years that they have been coming to the clinic, but during this time the quality of their lives has improved greatly, thanks to all the efforts of the Sisters of Charity.
I know in my heart that Isidra is grieving, so I will be sending them Reiki today. May the heavenly dieties bestow their blessings on Isidra and her son, Angel. They have gained much merit in this lifetime and hopefully in Angel's next incarnation he will have a much easier life.
While their lives were very difficult, Isidra was the epitome of living a life full of love. As I comptemplate a "mother's love", I will forever reflect on Isidra and Angel. They have touched my life in a way that no other has done.
Please refer to previous postings on the Santo Nino Clinic to see how you can financially support the mission of the Sisters of Charity or go to their link at the bottom of this blog to see their website.
